Summary:

HDS trendgroup update rate applied to timestamped protocols should be set to 0s

Details:

This concerns only trends. When archiving trends with timestamp information as provided by a timestamped protocol or OPC, the trendgroup update rate should be set to 0s if you want to store the exact time and date transmitted by the PLC.

If the trendgroup > 0s, the exact behaviour is the following:

  • The Variables Selector displays the exact PLC timestamp
  • The field [CHRONO] (and [TS] if used) will respect the update rate configured
  • However, the field [TS TYPE] is filled with value 1, meaning “PLC” information
