Applies to:
All versions of PcVue until 8.00 that include the client-server archive unit functionality. |
Summary:
Using a client-server archive unit, user actions that take place on the client – Logon/Logoff and Program actions – are not recorded in the archive unit. |
Details:
When using client-server archive units, all user actions made on the server (ACK,COMMAND,ACKNOWLEDGEMENT,LOGON/LOGOFF and PROGRAM) are recorded in the archive unit. However for all clients of the archive, only user actions (ACK,COMMAND and ACKNOWLEDGEMENT) are recorded on the unit. LOGON/LOGOFF and PROGRAM actions are not. The reason is that the user actions COMMAND, ACK and MASK on clients are transmitted to the server and applied from there. Because LOGON/LOGOFF and PROGRAM actions are not transmitted to the server, those remain local actions. The client archive cannot write to the unit, so the action is not recorded. |
