Overview of SCADA Basic
User programs can be written in a scripting language known as SCADA Basic. This is a block structured, interpreted language with a syntax closely related to industry standard Basic.
A project may be configured to run programs on various occasions:
- At start-up of PcVue.
- On change of a variable in the database.
- Cyclically.
- From the keyboard.
- From control zones on the screen.
- When called from other programs.
In this book, the instructions are arranged into categories (by type of instruction) and alphabetically (as individual topics, e.g. ACOS)
You can also locate topics in these ways:
- See Also: click on a 'See Also' link in a topic to open a related topic.
- Index: double-click on a keyword or phrase in the Index, or select then click on the Display button.
- Search: type a word or phrase into the Search tab and select List Topics, then double-click on a line or select a line and click on Display.
