About the Programming Languages
PcVue supports two programming languages.
SCADA Basic
SCADA Basic is a block structured, interpreted language, with a syntax closely related to industry standard Basic. SCADA Basic is proprietary to PcVue.
VBA
VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) is a programming language created by Microsoft. It is a subset of the Visual Basic (VB) language, designed for automation of applications – originally the Office 97 suite - now in hundreds of third-party software. PcVue provides VBA access to the project environment, mimics, drawing elements, symbols, graphic controls and the real time value of variables (known collectively as PcVue objects).
Cypress Enable is no longer supported since version 11 of PcVue. However, it is possible to adapt Enable scripts developed with earlier versions of PcVue so that they can run in the VBA environment. Please contact technical support for further information.
