Applies to:

PcVue all versions.
While the basic content of this article remains valid, details may have changed since it was written.

Summary:

This article describes how avoid a communication break due to high message rate.

Details:

For RAS (Remote Access Service) communication there may be a limit on the throughput of messages per second.

If PcVue cannot send all of the messages, it saves messages in memory. When the memory limit is reached error message 3030 is displayed, e.g. as follows:

29/07/03,17:52:41,3,I,,3030, ,1,Too many send message to StationName station

where StationName is the station name defined in the multistation configuration.

After this message the communication between PcVue Client and Server is disconnected (to allow PcVue to flush the messages saved in memory).

Solution

With a 56Kbps modem the PcVue communication speed is 80 messages per second.

If the flow is greater, you have to regulate it using the SCADA Basic command VARIABLE, mode FLOWPARAMTONODE. (Please refer to the PcVue online help for its syntax.)
