This article explains how to register and de-register an ActiveX control in Microsoft Windows operating systems.
Details:

In the Start.Execute or Start.Run menu, enter the following command line:

regsvr32 J:\OCX Sample\Axsample

Example

To register the ActiveX module AXSOMPLE.OCX located in the J:\OCXSAMPLE\ folder, use this command line:

regsvr32 J:OCX SampleAxsample

If you want to de-register an ActiveX module, execute the following command line:

regsvr32 /u [path]filename
