Summary:

Maximum number of points displayed in a Trend Viewer
Details:

PcVue is limited to 4000 points on an historical request (one request per trace if many traces).

With compression Pcvue can limit to 4 points per pixel (without compression, Pcvue can display many more points per pixel, with a bad display quality as consequence).

Then, a viewer with a size greater than 1000 pixels, and many points, can have display issues.

Solution:

  • Set dead band
  • Reduce the size of viewer
