In general if a project is used with a later version of PcVue it will be automatically converted to that version. Occasionally it may be necessary to make manual modifications.
Summary:

Shows the use of the redundant client-server archive units. The network architecture comprises three stations.

  • PIPPIN (station 1) – Part of the real time association ASSOC10 and the historic association ASSOC20
  • FRODO (station 2) – Part of the real time association ASSOC10 and the historic association ASSOC20
  • GALADRIEL (station 3) – A client connected to the real time association.

The project contains an archive unit called CLISERV which, by means of the station lists, behaves as a server on stations PIPPIN and FRODO and a client on the station GALADRIEL. SCADA basic programs are provided to allow the server’s available rates to be changed dynamically which allows selection of which station the client (GALADRIEL) will obtain its historic data.
