Details:

Modification file PARAM.DAT

  1. Stop PcVue
  2. Ensure you backup your configuration files before making changes.
  3. Modify the PARAM.DAT File:
    • Open the PARAM.DAT file located in the configuration directory of your PcVue project. (C folder)
    • Look for entries related to COLORWDWALARM. This section defines settings for alarms, including behavior tied to their priorities.
    • Adjust the lines corresponding to alarm handling for specific priorities. For example:
        • COLORWDWALARM,X,2,4,4,6,5,0,1,0,1,0 ,25,25,25,25,25,0,0,0,0,0,Y
        • X represents the priority level.
        • Set Y to enable automatic acknowledgment as follows:
        • 0= Default
        • 1= Beep
        • 2=Auto Acknowledge to OFF
        • 6=Auto Acknowledge to ON

  1. Save the Changes:
    • After making the edits, save and close the PARAM.DAT file.
  1. Restart PcVue:
    • Restart the PcVue application to apply the changes.
  2. Test the Configuration:
    • Trigger alarms with the specified priority to confirm they are automatically acknowledged

Notes:

You will find all the information about the PARAM.dat file in the “Param_ConfigFormat.pdf” document, located in the documentation folder (if you selected it during the PcVue installation).
