Some modifications are required for migrating a PCVUE 2 application using Multistation to 32-bit PcVue.
Details:
In a PCVUE 2 application, SVNET.DAT is the file that contains the multistation configuration.
Solution
When migrating an application developed with PCVUE 2 before version 4.XX to PCVUE 2 version 4.XX or later, or to PcVue, add the following heading line in file SVNET.DAT:
BOARDTYPE,0,STANDARD
Failure to do this causes the following message to appear in the event viewer :
Error adding server name XXXXX, error=34 (hex)
The best way of applying this change is to redefine a PcVue multistation architecture with the Configure.Communication.Network Stations menu.
The configuration is then stored in the STATION.DAT file
