Summary:

This article describes how to set up simultaneous communication with Applicom and Profibus.


Details:

Certain configuration rules must be observed when PCs communicate simultaneously with PCI1500Pfb Applicom cards to a single PLC (type S135) on Profibus network with S5 or S7 messaging.

Solution

The rules are as follows:

  • For the PLC: the coupler must have a different communication ‘contract’ for each PC.
  • For PCs in the Applicom configuration :
    • Each PC must have a personal station number (TS) for the same channel. N.B.: the total station number on the network (HSA) includes the PCs and PLC.
    • Each PC must have a different ‘contract’ number (corresponding to the one declared in PLC’s coupler) for one device. This number corresponds to the LSAP and DSAP fields.
