Applies to:

PcVue 11 to PcVue 16

Summary:

For security reasons Windows Server 2012 onwards has Data Execution Prevention (DEP) enabled by default for all applications and services. After installation of PcVue on Server 2012 onwards you must add sv32.exe and AiExplorer.exe to the DEP exception list. DEP (Data Execution Prevention) in Windows is a security feature that prevents code execution in certain areas of memory, thereby reducing the risk of vulnerabilities being exploited. It helps protect against buffer overflow attacks by marking certain parts of memory as non-executable.
