Summary:

The ActiveX SVUIGrd.ocx is no longer installed as it is considered a security risk. If you are satisfied that there is no risk to your application you can download it from this article. You do this at your own risk.

  1. How to proceed
  2. Download the SVUIGrd.zip file
  3. Unzip the file and copy the SVUIGrd.ocx file to $InstallDir\$Bin
  4. Register it by launching the PcVue Components Registration utility.

The line used to register SVUIGrd.ocx in the $InstallDir$\Bin\sv.crs file is the following:
SelfRegSvr “.\SVUIGrd.ocx” /nowarn
The /nowarm can be omitted, to check if the file is present or not.

It is possible to register manually the ActiveX with the following command:
regsvr32 “$InstallDir$\Bin\SVUIGrd.ocx”
This command must be launched with Administrator privileges (Vista, Windows 7, …)
