ARC Informatique joins the TALQ consortium

A Strategic Step to Strengthen PcVue Platform Interoperability

[Paris, 14/05/2025] – ARC Informatique is now an associate member of the TALQ Consortium, the international organization that defines the standard communication protocol for smart urban infrastructures. This marks a first step toward integrating the TALQ Smart City protocol into PcVue.

What is the TALQ consortium?

The TALQ Smart City Protocol is a standardized interface (based on a RESTful API) that enables a Central Management System (CMS) to supervise a wide range of connected urban devices, regardless of their brand:

  • Smart street lighting
  • Environmental sensors
  • Charging stations
  • Urban mobility systems
  • Energy networks, and more

TALQ allows municipalities and system integrators to manage these infrastructures through a unified platform, while avoiding vendor lock-in.

TALQ and PcVue : A Natural Fit

Seamless integration into the PcVue solution

As an open SCADA/IoT platform, PcVue already offers advanced capabilities for multi-protocol connectivity, supervision, and data analysis. By integrating the TALQ protocol, PcVue will strengthen its ability to support multi-vendor Smart City projects.

Benefits for Our Clients and Partners

  • Native interoperability: simplified integration of heterogeneous solutions
  • Technological flexibility: independence from specific manufacturers
  • Centralized supervision: unified control of all urban services
  • Standards compliance: system security, longevity, and scalability
  • Accelerated deployment: reduced need for custom developments

Application examples

A TALQ-compliant PcVue supervisor could, for instance:

  • Provide a consolidated view of energy consumption, technical alarms, and performance indicators—regardless of the equipment supplier
  • Centralize the management of public lighting across multiple districts using equipment from different vendors
  • Simultaneously supervise air quality sensors, traffic signaling systems, and EV charging stations

A Shared Vision of the Smart City

By joining the TALQ Consortium, ARC Informatique confirms its commitment to an open, sustainable, and interoperable Smart City — where technology evolves freely in service of local communities.
