This article refers to the format of the Quality field as defined in the specification of OPC Data Access 2.05a.

For more detail, the Quality field is defined in detail in the OPC specification. OPC Data Access Custom Interface Standard, Version 2.05A, 28th June 2002, paragraph 6.8 on pages 162-165.
